Great Break
My wife and I booked The Lady of the Lake (Windemere View) cottage for 4 nights for my birthday treat and a welcome break. It was clean, cosy and the view were amazing while we ate our meals, we were very happy with our choice and the location. Anya was very helpful, and the welcoming touches were appreciated, we look forward to staying again later in the year. Grand Tour, May 2021
Beautiful
Just returned from a 5 night stay at The Lady Of The Lake & it’s been perfect . It has everything you need . We took our own coffee machine but there was one already there a nespresso machine handy to know if you bring your own pods & a washer/dryer & dishwasher , iron & ironing board lots of cleaning products you can use . Bed was so comfy too & nice bedding . Immaculately kept & the views just wow . So relaxing & quiet . Only one downside was you had to vacate the room by 10am just a bit too early we thought . Lovely Stay
We enjoyed every minute of out break in Windermere. The accommodation had everything you could possibly need for a lovely holiday. The location was fantastic, so close to the lake and not far to walk to the centre of Windermere. The view from the kitchen and the outside sitting area was lovely, like something on a postcard. Having a place to park right next to the house was a bonus. The communication with the hosts was great throughout. We hope to return again soon. Dafjonwil July 2021

Lovely Stay
Had a lovely stay at Lady of the Lake cottage! Lovely view each morning, it’s quite incredible how the lake changes from one minute to the next. Although we had quite a rainy time, the cottage was always very cosy. Anya was a joy to talk to and was always in communication when needed her. Loved the detail of cava and chocolates on arrival. Perfect Stay from a Perfect Host
Booked this as a last minute get away, was surprised we found it but we are both so glad we did. So very well organised, everything is catered for, the place was immaculate, the communications were spot on throughout the location was amazing.
So many highlights but just taking a picnic down to the pier and watching the world drift by took some beating.
We would love to go back, if your not in love with the lakes then visit this place you soon will be.

Perfect Lakes/Cottage Stay
We thoroughly enjoyed our short stay at the cottage which was modern yet quaint. All instructions on arrival were exact. Very well maintained and clean throughout. Everything has been considered here with the guests in mind to ensure this is the ultimate relaxing stay. Little touches (fizz and chocs) on arrival and on request nothing was too much trouble with a quick text back. Unfortunately we had to leave earlier than expected but Anya’s customer service has been second to none and fair to say high up there with some of the best we’ve had in hospitality. We did have a chance to pop down to the private jetty on our first day which was stunning! I would highly recommend this as the most comfortable home from home for those looking for a mix of relaxation, the usual adventures of a staycation, located within easy access to enjoy the full Lake District experience. We will definitely be back to enjoy the a full stay next time around and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to anyone considering the lady of the lake. Staycation…..
A holiday to remember, the area was beautiful. We didn’t want to leave and was very sad to say goodbye to the cottage and views. Everything is thought for in this wonderful little cottage. Mornings were for coffee by the lake side the day spent exploring, then wine with a view and the evening in the snug watching films. There is lots to do in the area. I would advise to book places to eat before you arrive as they can book up fast! A weekend is definitely not enough time to explore the lakes! We have both found a new love for the lakes and we will definitely be back.
The cottage has everything you need for a lovely staycation. Communication was wonderful with Anya who thought of everything that we would need including giving us advice on places to eat in the area!

“Having had to shield from Covid19, Anya went to huge lengths to reassure me and demonstrate how the beautiful cottage was made safe for my visit. Like her wonderful mother before her, Anya was the most helpful and thoughtful hostess and the stay was beyond perfect! After three months of one view out of the back and front of my house, I never realised the Lakes would be so totally refreshing to the soul again. I will book again sometime soon as a week just isn’t enough. Thrilled with everything there is about this cottage – its location, access to the Lake, contents, upkeep…..just beautiful. Wonderful Retreat…..
“If you want a relaxing retreat away from the hustle and bustle that is life, then ‘The Lady of the Lake’ is probably one of the best ‘self-catering’ places to stay in Lake Windermere. It is superbly located with breathtaking views from the kitchen window and is just a short picturesque walk down to the private jetty where you can sit and dangle your legs over Lake Windermere and take in the magnificent views.
There was excellent communication by the owners from the minute I made enquiries up to the day of departure and any queries were responded to very quickly.
The decor in the cottage is really lovely and the owners go the extra mile to welcome you with personal touches such as the bottle of fizz, chocolates and biscuits upon arrival. We were late arriving but the lamp was put on for us and so was the heating.
We stayed at the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic so chose not to eat out etc. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need to prepare and cook a main meal. The dishwasher was an added bonus with us eating in for every meal.
The bedroom is beautifully decorated and the bed is very comfortable with the option of an electric blanket.
Whilst the cottage is quite secluded, you are also close (walking distance) to Windermere centre and other walks plus a short drive away from other lakes and places of interest.
The cottage has a wonderful warm feel to it and we felt very much at home. We shall definitely be returning and I have no hesitation in recommending this beautiful place. ❤️” Rachael Murphy March 2020
