The Lady of the Lake is owned by Anya and her brother Tim – both enjoy spending time in the Lake District with their families. It is their aim to ensure that you have the best possible experience. Whilst appreciating that the majority of guests just like to switch off and relax, treating the cottage as ‘home from home’, they’ll respond quickly should you have any queries or need any support with your booking or stay, including suggestions and recommendations of places to visit locally.
Whether you’re looking for a relaxing break away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life or a more action packed adventure, Windermere and the surrounding area has everything you could wish for and more.
Fine restaurants, traditional pubs, delicious local produce and a good selection of shops can be found within a 15 minutes walk from the cottage in the picturesque village of Windermere, and slightly further down the road (approx 25 minute walk) in Bowness.
Boat hire and Lakeland Cruises are available from Brockhole less than 2 miles down the road, and there is an outdoor adventure centre within easy walking distance of the cottage.
For those who love walking there’s a multitude of walks on the doorstep and just a short drive away, with walks to suit every level.
